Job Description

Bar & Retail Manager Required for Adventure Campsite in the South of France!

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and target-driven Bar & Retail Manager for our Savane centre in the beautiful Ardeche region of Southern France.

As the Bar & Retail Manager you will be responsible for co-ordinating the operation of the campsite bar and Acorn shop. The bar area is the focal point of the campsite located beside the swimming pool. You will be required to actively promote sales and the Acorn brand to our guests whilst they are staying at the centre, in order to meet sales targets. Duties will also include maintaining stock and displays, carrying out stock-takes, recording income & expenditure and completing weekly reports, as well as managing a small team of bar staff.

Requirements

  • Bar or retail management experience is essential
  • Experience of managing stock, budgets & records
  • IT literate; good knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and spreadsheets
  • A meticulous & organised approach to finance, money handling & admin
  • Customer service focused
  • Full UK driving licence preferable
  • 21 yrs+ for senior positions

All of our senior staff participate in a comprehensive training programme at our centre in the Brecon Beacons and then travel out to set up their centres with the rest of the senior team prior to guests arriving. We are looking for people who can commit to working the full season. 

All applicants must have a UK/EU passport, UK residential address, a permanent UK National Insurance number and a UK bank account. A current Enhanced CRB Disclosure is required for successful applicants. 

Overseas seasonal package inclusive of salary, meals, mobile caravan accommodation, uniform, overseas travel

Start:              end March - end August 2012

Duration:        Approx 5/6 months
